Two-fer Tuesday

I just can't seem to get this posted on Monday for Member Monday, so today I am bringing you Two-fer Tuesday. As with the past two weeks, I could really pick a half dozen layouts and cards as stand-outs for the week, but I am forcing myself to just limit it to two because otherwise it takes me way to long to post this, and I really have to put my kits together and get them ready to ship on Friday.

So I have chosen two layouts that just WOWed me over the past week.

This one by Laura (AngelBear) is one of my favorites of hers (they really all WOW me). I just can't believe that she mananged to once again pull off this vintage style with all those flowers on a boy layout. And that photo is just amazing.

This one by Kim (karennie34) just makes me happy. I love the red, white, blue color combo whether in a patriotic layout or not and this is done perfectly on the kraft paper. And the flags across the top are just the perfect touch.

Congrats gals on being chose as the Two-fer Tuesday Dangos and be sure to check the forum and gallery for so many more projects being cranked out during the June Layout A Day contest. Also check out the design team reveals for the June kits. They did a fabulous job.

The June kits are shipping this Friday and you can still get one for a reduced price for the June Pre-order special until June 30th.

Terrific Tuesday!!!

Wow, there is so much to blog about at Scrapdango.  It is already June 15th and L.O.A.D. is still going strong.  The Dangos have been getting so much scrapping done.  The gallery is full of all the gorgeous layouts and cards that everyone has been doing.  It is my honor once again to pick the LOTW for the belated "Member Monday."  Like last week, with so many great projects, I couldn't pick just one.

I loved this layout by LisaM.  I love including handwriting from my children and this is a great example, and I love all the "leafy" elements in this layout about a tree.

This is a fabulous 2-pager with yet another wonderful example of a child's handwriting by our former design team leader extraordinare, Julie (lexea). Also love the handprint for yet another personal touch.

Here is a fabulous card by Jan. That owl is just the cutest thing and absolutely love the colors for this sweet 16 card.

Here is another terrific layout by the uber talented Audrey (audreykit). I have probably mentioned before how much I love banners, and this is a fabulous example of those as well as the super cute cupcake and the adorable photo. And I am really lovin' the light blue, red, white and pink color combo like in the last card. Hmmm, think I need to do somethig with this combo. ;)

Here is a "Fun" layout by Cheryl (chillycharlie). Love the placement of the photos--just like going down that slide. Love the cluster of embellies in the bottom left.

Cheri is a newer member of Scrapdango, brought here by the L.O.A.D. event, and I truly hope she sticks around when it's over. She has uploaded a whole bunch of layouts over the past week that are all worthy to be LOTW picks, but I chose this one. Love the border around it with the differerent pp's and the stitching, and I think it is always important to document why we do what we do.

Sharpie (her real name is Lisa, but we call her Sharpie on the boards) is one of our most vocal and fun members. She, along with her mom, Audrey, really keep the boards hopping and laughing. I love this layout and how she documented photos of her daughter over the years in the same spot. Even though the large photo making up most of the background, isn't the best quality, it is fantastic. Also love her simple and elegant title.

In addition to all the great projects by all the members, the design team has also been busy with the June kits and they revealed their designs today. You can find the sugar and spice reveals on the boards today, and I will be uploading them to the blog and homepage soon. I did reveal the kits last week. These are by far my favorite kits I have done since taking over Scrapdango in February. Many of the design team members felt the same. They are both perfect for 4th of July (if you're from the U.S.) or other summer layouts and so much more. When you see the DT reveals, you will see that the kits are extremely versatile. The sugar kit I think was used for more boy layouts and even a Christmas layout. I have some great specials going on right now if you want to subscribe to either kit (or both) or if you want to pre-order (before June 30th) either of these kits for a reduced price. You can read about the specials here. They will begin shipping on June 25th.

July Sugar Kit ~ Featuring Lily Bee Hello Sunshine

July Spice Kit ~ Featuring Glitz Kismet

We still have two weeks of L.O.A.D. left and you can still get in one one of the weekly prizes or the chance to win one of Scrapdango's full kits at the end of the month. Congratulations to the winner of Week 1, Rebecca (mamakven) who won the Crate Paper Mia collection kit. The prize for Week 2 is a partial March sugar kit with paper from the Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage line and cardstock to match and some of the embellies included in the original kit. It is still jampacked with lots of scrappy goodness. I will be announcing the winner of Week 2 soon along with the prize for Week 3.

Hope you all have a wonderful scrappy week. :)

June L.O.A.D. in Full Swing

Well, we are one week into our June L.O.A.D. (layout a day) event, and it is going strong. The Dangos are getting some serious scrapping done, and the results are amazing. If you haven't signed up for the L.O.A.D. contest, it's not too late. You can still try to get a layout a day done and be eligible for the 3 remaining weekly prizes as well as the final prize at the end of a full size Scrapdango kit. Just so ya know, the prize for this week is amazing. It is a Crate Paper Mia collection kit.

I also wanted to announce the Member Monday Layout of the Week, but with so many fabulous layouts, cards and albums being posted, it was just too hard to pick just one, so here are a few that stood out to me in the gallery over the past week.

CelesteB always has so many great layouts documenting all her travels (that girl gets around), and they are all fabulous. This is just one example of many that kinda sums up her travelling.

Suzann has been away from Scrapdango for awhile but has joined us for LOAD (so glad she did) and has posted some fabulous layouts. Here is one about a difficult time in her and her husband's life, but she is documenting it beautifully. She used the April sugar kit for this featuring the Crate Paper Brook. She said she liked this line for the hospital pics because the turquoise blue/green in the papers matched the hospital scrubs.

AngelBear (Laura) is another previous Dango who has found us again and is gracing us with her presence on the boards as well as her talent in the gallery. She has a gorgeous vintage style, which I can't even hope to reproduce. I love that she always can pull this style off even with boy photos. This photo and the title with all the papers and elements she used is just perfection.

Audrey (audreykit) is a recent guest designer here at Scrapdango and has amazed us with her talent since co-winning Crowned in February. Here is a fabulous layout she did for the LOAd. I love the misting with the circles, the close up photo and all the buttons on the stars. Just great!

Kimmy (lostinadream) is another amazingly talented Dango. I could've picked any of her projects to include here including an adorable mini album about sushi made with a sushi mat and a chopstick on the cover. But I loved this title page to her DC album. The flowers are just perfect for this and it's just gorgeous.

Jan is another fairly new Dango who describes herself as a cardmaking scrapbooker. She does have some fabulous cards in the gallery, but here is a layout that is equally fabulous. I love the bright colors of the photos and the paper on the white with the white letters and love the butterflies.

Congrats to all the Member Monday picks. There could have been many more, but I couldn't list them all. Be sure to visit the Dango gallery for all the new projects for this week and throughout LOAD.
