Challenge #5 ~ Chipboard Tutorial

It's finally starting to feel a little like spring right now. I love to see the smiles on my children's faces as they run around and play outside. They have dragged their bikes out of the shed and brought their inline skates up from the basement. The energy they exude right now is just contagious.

The new Sugar Kit has that same kind of energy. It just screams... Spring!! I used my chipboard that was included with the kit and altered it for my page. I watned to share how I did it with you:
Gather up some supplies and play along:
Glimmer Mist in two colors (I used Lime Green and Bubblegum Pink)
Chipboard shape of your choice
Heat Gun
Tweezers
Craft Mat or waxy surface

1. Lightly spray your two colors on your craft mat or waxed surface. It is best to have some bubbles. If you get a blog, like I did with the green, just spread it out a little bit with the tip of your scissors or a toothpick.

2. Lightly press your chipboard in one color and dry with your heat gun.

3. Lightly press into the other color and dry with your heat gun.

4. Continue layering until you achieve a look that you are happy with. Make sure to dry between layers.

Now it is ready to adhere to you layout.

Challenge #5:
I would like to see you alter some chipboard. It doesn't have to be the same way as I did. Then, adhere it to your layout and email it to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca to earn a ballot for this month's blog draw. Please put Scrapdango Blog in the subject line.

I actually tried this for my DT submission but it didn't match the LO I was gonna use it for and then I ended up using a totally different LO. :) I even put some alcohol ink on top too!!! It worked GREAT!!
